Are italian exotics the right platform to demonstrate the superiority of thin oils?

I don't think there is a transferable lesson from oil choice in the Ferrari to oil choice in the Corolla. I think that the Corolla will run well on any weight of oil from a reputable maker, and would go for the manufacturer spec, which is probably a 0W20 in North America, and a 0W40 in Australia. For the Corolla, there is no wrong answer.
