Adding ESTER to oil

What will it do to the oil ? What will ESTER do?

I read from some Nissan Forums that they recommend adding ESTER to the oil for their 370z . Where can one find ESTER additives
 
There are oils based in part on group V esters, like redline. That would be the best bet.

Edit: Billbert, you type faster than I do, LOL.
