5W-20 or 5W-30

I have two Hyundai vehicles. A 2007 Azera with a 3.8L and a 2008 Santa Fe with a 3.3L. The oil filler caps say 5W-20. However, the owners manuals say you can use either 5W-20 or 5W-30. I use Pennzoil Platinum, and have a stash of the 5W-30. Do you members have any comments or suggestions about this. I live in Lubbock, Tx. The winter temps can be below 0 sometimes. Summer temps hover around 90 to 100 plus.

Not a whole lot of difference .use up the 30 wt then either oil will be fine.

Ya, use 5W-30 no problem. I prefer the 30 wt's over the 20's in a hot climate (a little extra viscosity protection for those 100F+ days).
