In this case I would do several short OCI with some high detergent synthetic oil which's on sale.
Seriously fellas, it's not me that I'm speaking of , really. Since my last quote of 77 k miles , I've changed my oil om my Camry twice....87 k and 97 k and just turned 100k last week. Been using ultra and the new Fram ultra filter......but u guys can believe what ever.
The longest I've ever went on a oil change was 11k on my 2003 Silverado, which just turned 64k highway miles.

I'd have him do one short oil change (3-5k miles) on anything 5W-30, even SuperTech dino - then go to 10k intervals on synthetic. Just tell him how important it is to keep it topped off - more important than changing it in many cases. Also tell him going 34k next time may not end well.
