Just got a CEL on our 2021 Jetta S 1.4 tsi. Directly before this I noticed the cruise control stopped working and it had an (!) next to where the cruise control is normally displayed. About 10 miles after that the CEL came on. I scanned for codes when we got home and it is showing P2635. Going to call dealer and set up an appointment. Until then, do any of you have an idea what this likely is?
Car has 13,500 miles.

Fuel pump A is the low pressure fuel pump near the tank. Fuel Pump Control Module is sensing lower actual pressure than commanded pressure.

On your car, the low pressure pump acts as a lift pump to bring fuel to the high pressure fuel pump on the engine.

Could be several different causes. Nothing obvious and will require testing.

My local VW dealers will simply document, reset, and send me on my way. Then, they might do something if it repeats again. I'm up to about 1/2 dozen non-repeated CELs. With a 6 year warranty, my 2019 VW 1.4T will be traded in at 71 months.

Obviously, a bad pump or PSI sensor.... seen some with bad wiring harnesses(too much resistance causing all kinds of fuel and sensor faults). So, you are at the mercy of your dealer's tech competence. 4 dealers in my 100 mile radius are useless.

That wouldn’t fly with me.

Never ever reset a code if it is under warranty. make them at least document it.

1.4t do not require premium.
No, I’d never reset it while under warranty. As for premium, not required in this application but that’s all I run out of an abundance of precaution.
