Just purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi, 88k miles. Purchased from a friend, dealer maintained. OCI every 5k. I'll use 5W20 Syn, your thoughts on OCI? Every 5? 7,5? Other? Thanks

What size motor?
What % of highway driving a day ?
What % of city driving a day ?
What 5w20 Syn are you going to be using ?

I have been doing mine every 3K with 5W-20 synthetic. Mine is a 5.7L with eTorque.

We change ours by the OLM, has seen M1 EP 0w-20 since the first oil change at 1,150km to flush out the break-in material. OCI by the OLM varies between 10-15,000km (6,200 to 9,300 miles).

I have the 5.7 hemi in my Durango. Switching over to Mobil 1 EP 0w20. 70% PAO, one of the better quality 20wt synthetics out there. Currently running Mobil 1 truck and suv 5w20

I change my 2011 every 6 months with PP and a Fram TG2. I might put 3-4,000 miles on in that time. My driving habits are the reason I change it out every 6 months, even taking it on a 40-50 mile run 3-4 times a month, I still do a lot of short tripping. Cheap insurance for me.
Do it by mileage or months based on the type of driving you will do and you can’t go wrong. 🍻
