05 Honda civic

Need help,
Bought my daughter a 05 civic 1.7 liter motor,stopped in at napa to get a oil filter and was told they dont have a number for the filter yet? Does anyone know if its the same as the 04 or have a part number?

The 05 Civic takes the same filter as the 04, and BTW as my 1998 ... NAPA Gold 1334. 1344 and 1356 will also fit ... larger filters I believe, but the 1334 is the recommended factory replacement.

I need to make my last post more accurate... 1334 is the recommended size for 2002 and older Hondas, ALL Hondas (except S2000 & Insight) use this filter. 1356 is the recommended sized for 2003 and newer Hondas, this is the new size filter (read smaller) that Honda sells for all Honda applications (including pre-2003 Hondas). The 1334 is a larger filter, but will work on your 05 ... in fact I'd recommend this over the 1356 for it's larger filtering area. The 1344 is supposed to also fit ... though haven't tried myself as this isn't a specified size for Hondas.

Looks like the 1344 has a slightly different gasket size ...nothing to frett about ..

..odd ...the 1334 in the WIX (NAPA) lists for 72-05 ..I would think NAPA would have the same listing
