Purolator One PL46128 for 6.7 Powerstroke?

Anybody seen any testing data on the new Motorcraft 2124S? Would be interesting to see how that stacks up? Or even the 2051S it replaced?

Purolator One PL46128 for 6.7 Powerstroke?

Do the PureOnes not have the wire backing on them? Good to know, have not cut one apart. I haven’t done any extended oil changes on this truck mainly because I don’t put all that many miles in it in a year, but it is towing almost all of them, so I have just been changing it every Spring so it’s...

Purolator One PL46128 for 6.7 Powerstroke?

Anyone have any input on this filter? I’m on my second oil change on my 17’ F250 with the 6.7 Powerstroke using this filter and had always used OEM up until discovering this baby at Menards for $7.99. Not that I want to cheap out on this truck, but seems like a “quality” filter for the price...

    Royal Oil Co??

Depends on the one I suppose, but a knowledgeable one with years of experience that has for example taken 10 Ford 6.7Powerstrokes and ran oil X, and 10 running oil A and 10 running B, for several hundred thousand miles of tough abuse and noticing a significant reduction in engine/emission...

    Royal Oil Co??

I have nothing for or against this company, absolutely zero experience, but I will say the construction industry is probably the absolute best test of lubricants there is to be had, and if after millions of miles on trucks and thousands of hours on equipment, a product has the head mechanic...

    Royal Oil Co??

I agree on the website, could be better. Sure doesn’t look like they spend a whole lot on advertising either, lol, seeing as though I have literally never heard of them, but goes to show they probably make some pretty good products if they are making it from one shop to the next by word of mouth...

    Royal Oil Co??

https://www.royaloilus.com/ Anyone have any experience with this company at all? Apparently it’s becoming a bit popular around my area of Wisconsin among some construction/trucking type companies. A previous Co-worker of mine that is the head mechanic of a fairly decent sized Road Construction...

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

Thank you, this might just be what I try next. I’ve pondered using Cenex oils for quite sometime but have been basically using Schaeffers in everything. May just give this a try. I see it is also on Fords “appproved” list for the 6.7L Powerstroke.

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

Good to know, maybe I’ll just stop the Schaeffers Carbon Treat/Diesel Treat for a while then and keep using the EDT.

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

Another question I have for you guys, I noticed reading through the forums here that a guy attributed some higher Iron levels to an additive he was running in his fuel, do you happen to know what additives have been mentioned that might contain Iron? I’ve ran a lot of Schaeffers Carbon Treat and...

    Schaeffers 9000 5w-30 Ford Escape 2.0 Ecoboost

Is 18ppm of iron really considered high in 8,100mi? If that’s sheared out at 8,100 miles, the Motorcraft that was in my wife’s new Explorer must really be junk with only 5,000mi on that change?

    Schaeffers 9000 5w-30 Ford Escape 2.0 Ecoboost

Hey Everyone, Just getting into doing some analysis on my vehicles again and figured I’d post some results to see what everyone thinks. This ones from a 2014 Ford Escape we purchased new and have pretty much ran Schaeffers the entire time other then a few changes here and there in its life when...

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

Thank You everyone for all your input by the way. I’ve got a lot to learn on analysis, so all knowledge is welcome. I’m not a big “brand” guy so I’ll try just about anything. I was put on to Schaeffers quite sometime ago by a friend that has a trucking company and he had got me in touch with a...

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

I’ve been using the Ford Motorcraft filter. I bought the truck with 20,000mi on it, so no idea what was used in it then, but after I bought it, I had gotten a couple free oil changes from the Ford Dealer I bought it from so naturally I took them up on those and they used the 10w-30 Motorcraft...

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

That bad huh? I’ll run this oil change out to 5,000 again and test again. But if that Irons up that high again I’ll probably try something else. This is my first Diesel in a little while, but all my gas engine vehicles I’ve sampled have looked real good using Schaeffers 9000 5w-30’s and 5w-20’s...

    Schaeffers 5w-40 in a 6.7 Powerstroke

It is a F-250 CC 4wd and my camper weighs about 9,500lbs empty so guessing you could figure probably somewhere around 11,000 loaded and heading down the road. Not a lot of crazy hills around WI, but I was in South Dakota/Blackhills last summer with it for a while towing the camper and I know the...
