It was factory fill. Nobody touched it before me. After the M1 0W20 I switched to Castrol 5W30, the noise still remains the same. Next time I will try with Toyota Oil and Denso filter so we will see.

M1 5W30 EP Amsoil 5W30 SS

I have the same car and I tried a lotta oils. M1 5W30 EP or Amsoil 5W30 are the best oils out there for this engine. Go with OEM filter.

A 100 miles later no ticking. Works fine noe.

Mine is 1.33 euro version.

After this oil change (M1 EP 0W20/OEM filter) I can hear a lotta ticking noise on idle. The low pressure light goes off immediately. Is this something I should worry about it? P.S. this was her first oil change (8200 km).

I just got a 2015 Yaris 1.33 1NZ-FE engine with 5000 miles. What would be the best oil/grade for this engine? I already have 4 qts of M1 0W20 EP. I have a couple more options, like Castrol Edge 0W30, Castrol Edge 5W30, M1 ESP 5W30. So what you think? I appreciate your help.

2GR-FE calls for 5-30. Mine currently is running on M1 0-20 AFE but the engine is more noisy and not that smooth.

I don't care for fuel economy. I care for reliability. Anything else?
