Is it just me or do any of you find the 5+ quarts annoying. It is difficult to tell how much oil you are actually putting in the car. I usually poor it in a different container to measure.

How exactly, does the weight of an engine oil increase fuel economy. I mean it's job is to lubricate and most here would say heavier weight oil lubricates better. I know the oil pump would have to work a little harder with heavier weight oil but enough to change fuel economy?

It appears that most oil filters have a bypass pressure of 14-20psi. However, don't most cars run 30-40 psi of oil pressure during normal operation? Wouldn't that cause the oil filter to be bypassed while just going down the interstate?

I have been lingering around the forum for a while now. I never see any bad uoa's. It seems that it doesn't really matter what oil I use. Currently I am using MC syn blend 5w-20 on my 2.3 duratec. I would like to switch to a full synthetic but having a hard time justifying it.

Thinking about switching from a cartridge filter to a spin on filter. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. fl-2017b to at fl-910s I can't figure out if they have the same flow rate. Anybody have specs for these filters? The conversion is fairly simple and will make oil changes much easier.
