I agree. 300K miles on a Hyundai ia huge, 300kms - around 180K miles - is also huge. Even a thousand bucks seems like a lot to spend on such a car. And trust me, I'm an expert in 'sunk-cost fallacy', lol.

I definitely have sympathy for you but the reality is many factors decide your insurance rate, and unfortunately past history sometimes doesn't make a huge difference in your price. The world is just becoming a more expensive place - scares me sometimes, honestly.

2 for us as well, both great vehicles. Since the dealer usually pics up the tab for regular maintenance for a leased vehicle you have a better chance of the vehicle being maintained properly, imo. People are much more likely to get *free* maintenance done than anything they have to pay for, IME.

I use Armor all. I know a lot of people turn their nose up to it but I've always used it and my 35 year old car's interior is pristine. The car is always covered when not driven so that is the main protector, but I think the Armor all leaves a nice shine. And it's cheap comparatively speaking...
