Subaru Crosstrek (2022) Front Pad, Rotor Recommend

I have the PowerStop Z23 hardware on my Outback. No complaints, it performs as good if not better than the OEM stuff. Bought it from RockAuto.

Help with lawn mower primer bulb.

Looks like the smaller circumference base on the bulb is required due to being recessed on the housing. The larger snowblower style like I posted won’t work for this particular application.

Help with lawn mower primer bulb.

Looks to be the standard barb mounting as any other primer bulb. I have a bunch from carb kits. Your base appears slightly smaller circumference, so it depends on how it mounts on the unit but if its flat, than a standard one like I show should work.

Advice needed for 2015 Subaru Outback BS9 that consume?

Personally I would go with the Mobil 1 0w-40, it’s what I have currently in my 2014 Outback. Mine has been a drinker its whole life, finally stepped to the 40 weight earlier this year. Engine is less clattery under load and consumption seems to have slowed. I’ve only had it in for ~800 miles so...

    VR1 Honda Small Engines

It would be insanely overkill for a small engine but would work just fine. As would any other 10w-30...

    Smoke Free 2T Oils

Everyone will have their opinion on which 2 stroke oil they think is best, I personally use Royal Purple 2C in both a commercial Lawn-Boy engine as well as my Echo chainsaw. I run the same mix for both, 45:1. Other than just a hint on cold/choked startup, both run smoke-free and strong on the...

'99 Vortec power loss and CSFI questions

Yeah, the fuel gauge most commonly(although the other three can do it as well) gets the shakes. Mine flutters like a hummingbird wing constantly and has worked fine for 15+ years. Some guys replace them as they don't like the flutter. Since the fuel level sender is now new, if it doesn't...

'99 Vortec power loss and CSFI questions

You had to attach that 4 wire plug that came with the new pump? If the old pump didn't already have that installed then its very old. GM updated the electrical connector design with that new plug due to the old design not being insulated enough and burning out/shorting the connections. Also, I...

'99 Vortec power loss and CSFI questions

Yep, I understand what he's saying. My point was the need to verify if its the pump itself that's weak or if the FPR under the plenum is bad and bleeding off the pressure. The hard cold starts in the morning can be a result of either, or both for that matter. Any idea how old the pump is? At...

Iridium or Ruthenium plug to replace a copper plug in performance LS

Modern electronic ignition systems can darn well make a wet stick throw a spark lol. I switched to a set of the NGK Ruthenium's on my Outback just because its a PITA to replace them. They have performed well, no regrets.

'99 Vortec power loss and CSFI questions

With the key on, engine off you should be seeing 60 - 65psi at the test port on the line. The FPR is bleeding off any additional pressure back to the tank. While running, you should optimally be seeing 55+ psi. The poppets wont open/engine wont start if pressure is under 50psi. You can always...

    wix or subaru oem

Sorry for the delay. I have not run UOA's on my oils, mostly due to the cost and relatively low mileage of my OCI's. On my FB25 I noticed much more frequent valvetrain/tensioner clatter when first starting in the morning on the 0w-20's. It wasn't every time, but often enough. After hanging out...

Howdy, I’ll update a little later when I’m at my computer, only on phone right now. TL;DR 0w-30 ran great for my winter interval.
