I actually have that in my engine right now, as it's sitting in storage until my Camaro is done being painted. My current plan is Z-Rod on the street, Dominator on track days. I used the Dominator during the dyno.

Hey Pablo, With the lack of detergents in this oil, should I use an oil with a higher detergent level every now and then, or will the more frequent oil changes be enough with the Dominator?

Oil is cheap, engines are not. I'm going to keep this truck a long time, so I'm getting as much wear metals out as I can before I go to regular intervals

That's not true. You can get a bump in power at the cost of fuel mileage, and your engine will run cooler. Maybe there aren't pros for his particular application, but E85 is a good fuel. I like that I can feed my 974hp big block pump E85 instead of paying $22 per gallon for race fuel.

They don't report TBN. If I remember correctly, LSJ doesn't believe TBN is the best way to measure that, and prefers FTIR

Yes, you need to change your oil more often on E85. You use 30% more fuel running ethanol than gasoline, so your oil is more susceptible to fuel dilution. Running a cheap oil not meant for alcohol fuels will make the issue worse. There's nothing inherently harmful in ethanol, but not keeping...

This oil analysis is from my 2024 Silverado's second oil change at 1704 miles. I had also performed an oil changed at 592 miles. This oil sample has 1,112 miles on it. Oil is Amsoil's 0W-20 diesel oil

Nice additive package. May run that in my drag and drive 565 when I'm not on the track using Dominator

If the engine was designed with 0W-20 in mind, it will live with 0W-20

They are cheap filters, a jobber is just the person that performs the duties of changing the oil at a business

That mesh is what my OG Titanium FS5s have. The FS12447 and the Amsoil EAO27 I cut open had the black nylon looking mesh in them.

I doubt it was an OG Titanium/ultra. It was made on the 129th day of last year
