UOA for LZ0 3.0L Duramax, Amsoil Diesel Oil 0W-20

This oil analysis is from my 2024 Silverado's second oil change at 1704 miles.

I had also performed an oil changed at 592 miles. This oil sample has 1,112 miles on it.

Oil is Amsoil's 0W-20 diesel oil

Amsoil more than likely formulated it on the high end of a 20 grade

Oil is cheap, engines are not. I'm going to keep this truck a long time, so I'm getting as much wear metals out as I can before I go to regular intervals

No, they do not have a SS 0W-20 diesel oil right now. I'm hoping they will in the future.

I'd personally run a thicker oil in a diesel. At least a 5w-30. I know the 6.6 duramax stull calls for 15w-40 on a 3500HD.
