New F150 owner with questions (13mpg?)

That truck is SWEET! Those mpg's seem average and thats what I get with my 5.0 engine...I have a cold air intake with a K&N style filter and I find that the oil gets dark very fast but im not sure if its air filter related. I think that the factory air box/paper filter is best IMO.

95 mustang gt 5.0 tranmission and rear diff oil

The power steering uses auto trans fluid so mercon V would be best. The ford 8.8 is not picky about fluid and is speced for 80w90 and like JasonC wrote you must use a bottle of the ford frition modifier for the clutch packs........Take a look at the tag on the drivers door under axle for the...

95 mustang gt 5.0 oil question

The original spec for the 5.0 was 10w30......I would recommend Valvoline MaxLife 10w30 and a Motorcraft FL1A oil filter, which is what i use.

    Valvoline Availability

I have noticed the same thing, only walmart carries it and only in the 5L jugs, but they did have maxlife and synpower last time i checked. I even called the 1800 # to ask about this but was given no help.
