Have been using M-1 since I bought my first FZR-750,then I bought the FZR-1000 and finally changed loyalty and bought the Honda RC-45, all on M-1 15W-50 from day one.

Since 1990 I have been using M-1 for my tranny and diff, used to be hard to get off the shelf and had to be special ordered from Mobil's mail order department in VA. I have had my diffs and tranny go well over 500,000Km with ease.

Lubro-Moly, the German company made a truly effective radiator leak fixer, this one worked and worked well for truly pesky leaks that would re-occur time to time on fixed radiators. Wonder if it is still available.

Always suspected that Delvac Super was truly a great value in group-II oils along with Delo 400, this just confirms my theory, truly great numbers, very low iron count and the fact is that the filter was not changed for the entire duration. Really impressed and thanks for posting the UOA.

I stretch my Delo or Delvac Super to 6500km or six months, whichever comes first. I also have started my vehicles under -10c weather without any problems, these vehicles were parked outside, one for a week, other for more than two weeks, I have done this procedure with Delo and Delvac Super.

Thats what I call true airplane spec maintenance, your vehicle will probably outlast everyone else's here. Do you think changing the thermostat every two years makes a difference, the reason I ask is that I havent changed mine since the last seven years as my temps have remained steady.

M-I is really a good product and Mobil is an old player like Amsoil in the synthetic business.

Along with Amsoil, Delvac-I and Chevron Delo 400 Supreme are well tested stuff.

One excellent product which goes un noticed is the Japanese Tri Bond, it is also available with Honda, Yamaha and other Japanese motorcycle dealers and goes by the name of Hondabond, Yamahabond etc. You can also find it in HINO truck parts as it is OEM to HINO engines. 8)

Delo 400 or Delvac Super or MX, absolutely the best when it comes to fleet reports and various UOA, in regular conditions they are as good as synthetics minus the high cost.

Speaking of HTHS, group II oils like DELO 400 and Delvac Super hold up pretty well in that department. Mobil-I too is another product which would be suitable for a high revving 4, my Acura Integra GSR survived for 140,000 miles before I sold it and from the beginning it was on a M-1 15W-50 diet.

I was always under the impression that Delvac always contained Moly but the newer CI-4 rated MX apparently doesnt have any, the Super does though.

M-I is an excellent oil for gas engines but wouldnt put that in diesel, your Delvac Super is rated way higher at CI-4, will provide much enhanced protection for diesel engine. Delvac-I is totally different from M-I, Delvac-I has far superior diesel optimized additive package compared to M-I but...

I would second that on the Regane, very good overall cleaner and works on Gasoline and Diesel as well.

With my Honda Kerosene genset, I tried out plugs from every manufacturer including Beru, BOSCH, Champion and Delco but somehow the best results are obtained with the OEM NGK plugs, same experience with my 94 Accord V6, only NGK gave me the best fuel economy and performance.
