I have a Ford oval badge that I need to stick back on to my truck. I saw a 3m clear product in a tube, but it does not get good reviews, it ruins the paint and is a permanent bond.
I want something that will hold it in place, seal the alignment holes, but can be removed when I am ready to paint.
Any ideas? What do they use from the factory?

Another vote for 3M emblem adhesive. It works well.

I've also used 3M VHB "red" double-sided tape. It works for certain simple emblems in some cases.

My post from 10 days ago, https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/foru...-attached-these-used-emblems#Post5351568 Used the 3M foam double sided tape on the oval and their liquid on the letters, https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...zMHQMijkxBoCsd0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds They use the foam tape at the factory.

3M VHB transfer adhesive is your best aftermarket option . It comes in black and clear. You can cut the adhesive with an X-Acto blade. You can buy a roll on Ebay, amazon, or Uline.
