Does the larger item absorb more of the microwaves to prevent the smaller one from over cooking? Example for breakfast today in my small 700 watt oven: 2 cooked sausage links I would normally heat for 40 seconds at 70% and 1/4 lb of cooked hashbrowns I'd heat for 1 min 30 seconds at 70%. I heated them together for 1 min 45 seconds at 70% and they turned out perfect. Why didn't the sausages overcook as you might think if heating them so long?
