My lovely bride looked over my shoulder while I was viewing car porn and out of the blue remarked, "Why don't you flip the 2 Series for a true two seat sports car? Between the X1 and the Clubman we can carry four people if we need to." So, that opens up another avenue of possibilities. I may yet keep the 2er and just add the M Performance LSD and a mild tune. That would mean I'd have @370 hp that I could actually use. Still, there are quite a few two seaters I wouldn't mind owning. A used Cayman S or Z4 M Coupe head the top of the list, and a used 370Z is also in the running(an old-school design we won't see the likes of again, I think). The Club Sport is the slow car I enjoy driving fast, so that pretty much eliminates the BRZ/86 and Miata RF, as nice as they are. Corvettes are great cars, but they have just never given me a "gotta have it" vibe. A Viper GTS would be a hoot, as would a Lotus Elise.
In any case, it's a lot more fun to hunt for cars when you don't need to flip something- and especially when time is not a factor in the slightest.
