WIX and NAPA filters are the same, just different stickers on the can. The NAPA Platinum is the same as the WIX XP.

True, but the WIX XP costs more than $9.

I had a problem with a Wix 51515. When I cut the can open I found the media shorter on one side making the end caps not parallel to each other. The filter would stand leaning to one side. Looked like it was made that way.
What problems have you had with the Wix 51515?

Good price thanks for the info.

Amazon isn't always the best place to buy stuff from. You SHOULD know that by now.

BUT if you would read, it's going on a marine engine.

NOT the "barely over idle" typical grocery getter application!!!!

My Ford 302 in my boat lives at 4500+ RPM .... there's isn't a snowballs's chance in Hades I'd risk that engine over an oil filter half the size!

I went back and re-read it. You're correct, a larger filter would suffice, as you've stated. I too would want a larger filter.

I would never buy oil filters from Amazon or EBay, you just don't know if you're getting the real thing or counterfeits. Also, I have heard some of the factory "seconds" end up on there too. No thanks.
