Fresh results back from my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport on the new oil. Here's the info I provided to Blackstone:
Quote
This is my first full oil change interval with the new dexos2 Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0w40. I have also moved to a warmer climate so the car is now being driven year-round and sees many more short trips than it used to.
It was on track for about 10 hours and I kept the oil slightly above the full line (hence the ¾ qt added), per GM's track usage recommendation.
I changed the oil when the car's oil life meter was at about 20%.

Blackstone's response back was that things appear to be wearing well despite the longer interval. They did flag the viscosity as being slightly low but said it could be either shearing from the track or some residual 5w30 left over.
I'm thinking I will stick with this new Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0w40 but maybe not run it quite as long. The lower TBN and elevated TAN, along with the borderline viscosity aren't ideal. Overall, I am still pleased with how it just eats up the track miles and then happily purrs along around town.
For those unfamiliar, here is the datasheet for this new Mobil 1 oil:

Obligatory photo from my most recent track day at Circuit of the Americas attached. I'll post video separately soon.
