The photo is from the Cummins FSM for a ISB engine, 1999 to 2003.

I am trying to figure out how the ex manifold gets damaged from a leaking CAC. Is the engine going to run hotter? The pressure sensor in the intake manifold will prevent excess fuel from being injected.

Procedure 010-027 is leak testing the CAC.

If the charge air has leaks ANYWHERE - - leaking out "boost" - you can destroy the turbo from over-speeding it, too.
