'14 Mercedes E350 Coupe - Castrol Edge 0w40

Just short of 8k miles. Really high Calcium still on the oil. Engine did have a treatment of Ceratec in the previous oil change.

This is a 3.5L V6 with start/stop and Direct fuel injection.

Pretty thin on the viscosity for a 40 wt...but based on those wear numbers the oil is performing quite well. Too bad your lab doesn't test oxidation and nitration.

Another good EDGE 0W-40 report. Keep the ceratec in the bottle

Amazing TBN retention on this oil. Maybe due to high level of Ca.

Looks really good - this oil only starts out at about 13cst; so it didn't thin much at all.

I'm a little surprised the Mg is so low. For some reason I thought Edge 0w40 was a higher Mg oil. This was bought on AMazon on sale.

When I look at that, it looks like the same oil except for the weird lack of Mg unless Mg gets used up pretty quick?

I guess that post is from 2016 so maybe Castrol has reformulated again.

EDGE 0W-40 has been all Ca, no Mg for years now. Same with EDGE 0W-30.
