Ahh, a fan of the guide stones...they are looking for volunteers to help the cause.

about 1.5 billion cars on the road, not counting OPE/recreation/racing/boat/offroad etc..

alot of people are missing out on filter efficiency and UOA critiques

Poor, unknowing saps!

I think we should pack the surface of the Earth with as many billions of people as we can make.

Then we can kiss cars good-bye. We'll just "smear around" efficiently in dense slurry of feces and garbage.

Sorry I won't be around to see it.

Imagine the savings in time and angst just grabbing a random jug of oil, an oil filter that fits and not even knowing what a UOA is.

Problem is that collecting the energy from above the ground take up space too.
Energy from below the ground doesn't

Energy requirement is the issue, not population numbers.

Historically there were multiple generations in one small dwelling...most of the world are still there.

Throw in the modern creation of elders in homes, split homes with empty rooms waiting for kids on weeks about...

The energy...the acreage per first world unit of energy requirement is increasing.

There are still lots of places on this earth where one can drive for hours and see no towns or any civilization. Out west in the US there are lots of stretches like that. Australia is another example.

There's too many people right now. Lack of resources, fighting over water and water rights, starvation etc.

I don't understand how people feel the need to density populate the whole planet "there is plenty of room to expand" or "look at all that wasted space" as they fly over Kansas...where a lot of their food is grown...and they've forgotten where their food comes from.

IMO we're likely to poison ourselves out of existence, if mankind doesn't develop the ethics to manage what we have and produce.

This is what the Georgia Guidestones have to say about it:

Quote:
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Would that be more evil than Thanos who only wipes out half the life in the universe?

But there is the eventual heat death of the universe coming up.

The collision with the Andromeda galaxy in 4 billion years should be ok, but I don't think humans will survive the sun turning into a red giant in 5 billion years.

Obviously all people in the world aren't going to be "made happy', but "we" the more fortunate can make those in front of us happy, or happier. Whoever they are. That's what we CAN do, rather than CAN'T.

Just got back from a week in China. Anyone that doesn't think we have too many people should spend a week there. Really amazing, like the state fair every day.
