I forgot to post these back in December. I decided to do the plugs before my move to Oklahoma from California. They didn't look bad but the gaps were a little big (I can't remember the specifics anymore). I put Motorcraft plugs back in it. Overkill I know, oh well.

We usually start seeing the EB motors blowing out spark plugs around 30K miles. They look good though. How was changing them on a 2.7?

I would have pulled one, looked at it, and put it back in and said I'll check again around 100k.

I wished I'd done that, but I had the plugs already and decided it wouldn't hurt.

At least you don't need cylinder heads replaced due to oil usage

Has the gap opened up on one of them more than the others?

When you say "blowing out spark plugs"....do you mean literally like the 5.4 engines which ejected them?

No no, the gap increases and the spark gets blown out by turbo pressure. My S60R started doing it consistently at 30K miles.

I'm glad mine was not affected by that. It uses no oil at all.

Anyone think the 2.7 is a better engine than the 3.5?
