This is an "old" stock Fram ToughGuard TG3593A filter off my '94 Honda Shadow.
~2,500 miles on filter, 10,000 miles on bike.
Only took 1 pic:
But got a cheapie Action camera, so decided to do a video of the dissection.
Kind of mumbling in the video, camera does not pick up sound like it should, tried using an external recorder but did not work.
Camera also does not record the best pic, even though it was set at 1080p.
Sorry for the poor camera angle, the screen turned off and I could not see exactly what was filming and I had oily hands.
Still getting this figured out.
Anyhow... Skip to about 2:10 for when the filter actually opens, my filter cutter was not being nice to me since I was recording apparently...
Overall filter looks good, not sure how well the ADV was working, filter had been sitting opening down for maybe an hour, should have had more oil in it.
I think the 2 little metal strands are from me cutting the filter open since it did not open well.
Replaced with a Purolator PSL 14610 that I got from DuckRider a while back and more Peak 15w-40 syn-blend.
