I'm looking to join the NRA and I just want to make sure I don't miss out on any initial membership discounts, if there are any available out there that I'm unaware of?

Thank you,
Ed

Join Gun Owners of America (GOA), they are a no compromise organization, and won't Negotiate your Rights Away.

I heard on the news that the NRA has had the biggest influx of new members than they have ever had before. grin

Are you implying that the NRA will "Negotiate your Rights Away" by your reply? Gee, in what little I know of the NRA, that seems like a harsh way to label them. Can you give me an example(s) of why you feel that way?

The NRA just supported for and lobbied for the bump stock ban. They supported for and lobbied for the Fix NCIS bill that Diane Fienstin submitted. NRA members feel flat out disrespected, lied to, and thrown under the bus. Most people are recommending that you join the Gun Owners of America, AND your local state affiliate gun rights organization. I'm a lifetime NRA member, but I'm not happy with them.

You can read directly from their website that they are requesting additional regulations on gun owner:

https://home.nra.org/joint-statement

The art of negotiating is to get something in return. We will give up bump stocks, if you give us nationwide conceal carry. We will give up bump stocks if you give us the hearing protection act. Like a bunch of clowns, they DID not negotiate anything, and just layed down and took it.

Iím a member who supports those decisions ~ thatís what life looks like Ö

They can also have raising the age to buy guns and raising the age of youth I care to see exploited Ö
Funny how they use age in sex crimes (not old enough to know better) and now marched around as experts

I always get a kick out of people looking for deals to join lobbying orgs that depend on money to conduct business. Anyway. Skip the NRA. Send some money to the Second Amendment Foundation.

If you just want to join, you can get a $10/year associate membership directly on their website. Best part is this membership doesn't have any magazines or spam!
