New improved Fran extra guard?

Just noticed that Fram is advertising the extra guard filter “orange can” as New and improved. Apparently it has a silicone ADBV but what else? Are the just as good now as a standard wix? I love how easy they are to find at Walmart. So many people say they suck but I’m wondering where exactly the improvements are.

That's really not bad considering maybe a decade ago 80% at 30 microns was "pretty standard".

Vehicles today could likely reach 300K on only 90% efficiency. Change oil regularly and no need to buy anything that filters beyond a $3.77 Fram EG.
