2011 Civic Si. ~71000 miles.
Unmodified for 60K miles, didn't consume much oil then (maybe 1/3qt every 5K). It was run with whatever oil I had on the shelf basically (PP or M1 EP 5W30, didn't matter).
Currently modified with bigger cams, slightly ported oil pump, slightly larger sump, and too many bolt ons to list, making about 240whp/165wtq, revving to ~8600RPM. The car is otherwise meticulously maintained.
As I live in the city, most of my drives consist of a cold start and maybe 1-5 miles of driving. This is exacerbated in the winter since I don't really drive except for around-town errands in Boston. I never push the motor on it until it's warm, but I do drive hard when I get the chance. I'm mildly concerned because it's burning a bit more oil now, on the order of 1/2-2/3 qt every 3K.
I know I'm not going easy on this motor with the combination of:
Is there anything I should be doing with regards to choosing my oil more carefully? I've been spoiled with all my Hondas as they haven't really cared what oil I use, but this setting is certainly a bit more extreme. Many thanks in advance!

I know I'm not going easy on this motor with the combination of:
- (sometimes very) cold starts and short trips
- very high rpm
