Fourteen years ago today I made my first post on BITOG. It was about Shell's then new Rotella synthetic 5w40. Click here to read it. A lot has changed with motor oils since then.

How long have you been on BITOG and what was your first post about?

8 years, almost exactly.

First post was about changing oil on my wife's Civic. I wanted to change using a vacuum extractor, like I was used to doing on my VW. I was on here sporadically for years after that, until a few years ago when I became more of a regular.

I've been on this forum for almost two years now. But it feels like I've been here for much longer.

Great idea! My first post was back in the summer of 2004 and was, interestingly, about my very first experience with a Honda anything (a Honda GCV160 on a Craftsman mower).

I didn't own a Honda vehicle until November of 2010, right at six years ago exactly, when we bought our MDX from my folks.
