Is valvoline max life (full synthetic)a compatable fluid type to oem yota fluid?

Yes. The OEM fluid is Toyota WS, and Maxlife is compatible.

You can compare the requirements in your owner's manual and the Maxlife Product Data Sheet.

So far I've done a drain and fill (and pan drop) on two different vehicles with a factory fill of WS using Maxlife, and have not had any issues with either. I intend to do a couple more D&F to each to get the concentration higher.

We have a 2013 Corolla that wants the ws fluid. I did the cooler line flush with maxlife at about 6k miles and again at about 30k. Still in there now with 65k and looks and smells pretty good. Might be about time for a drain and fill to freshen it up now. Never had any issues with shift quality. I also use the maxlife in the power steering system on my 67 Ford F-250 after I changed the pump. Works great in there also. Very good fluid especially for the price.
