Rockauto sent me the wrong part

Well, I got my response from RA. Even after talking to an associate for 10 minutes, RA will absolutely NOT refund me the shipping cost I paid for the parts. That is ridiculous. All she kept saying was that the # listed matches their system, and the mfg website, and they haven't received any complaints from countless other Miata owners who have ordered that exact same part. Although I didn't want to do this, I threatened to never shop there again and expressed my deep dissatisfaction, and all I got in return was silence

that's not how you do business. Who knows, maybe these things do fit, and I'm investigating this in extreme detail on the Miata forums. But everyone on the forums is telling me that this is a common issue (aftermarket mounts not being listed properly), but RA didn't care. Maybe I need to talk to someone higher up?

This is the same store that made me wait 45 minutes to receive an alternator core because their computer was down, although the store manager told me many times that they owed me money for the core, it's just that the computer wouldn't let them release my money.

Did you get a power steering rack that was carelessly painted with cheap black paint?
Far too often I would have to send one back because either the bushings were no good, or the inner tierod ends were completely worn out.

I ordered a complete rack and pinion and it came without the frame bushings.
The kid behind the counter told me that I'd have to purchase the bushings separate because they weren't included and the store didn't stock them for this application. I paid for the bushings ahead of time and when I went to pick them up a couple of days later, I had them look up the application again and found out that they should have been included. When I asked for my money back because they should have been included with the original purchase price, they couldn't (or wouldn't) do that because the manager was on vacation for a week and they told me that nobody else was in enough charge to validate my claim.
I had to write a letter to the store manager to give all the details because nobody could even begin to dream all this up.
I finally got my money back about 10 days later and got to keep the bushings that should have been included in the initial purchase. This is a store that is always posting that they are accepting applications.
BTW, they didn't even bother painting it.

Saw your thread title and thought "wow there's a guy on my Miata forum with the same issue."

Good luck getting things squared away!

My experience with RA over the last 8 years is that they are good at shipping you stuff you ordered, being lowish on price and shipping, but you have to double and triple check if their catalog is correct.

They would throw in a lot of parts that fit under your engine, your setup, but then they would be spec for another setup or engine. You need to double check on other website, google, manufacturer's catalog, etc to see if that make sense or not.
