F150 Chinese Knockoff

They've had this for a while now. It's actually only the grille and headlight design that are copied from the F-150, the rest of it is copied from various other makes and models.

It is not exactly that.
People in china want the equivlent to what they see the west drive. Problem is that it is expensive. So some companies clone cars, creating the F150 clone, the Chery QQ (chevy clone) etc.

If Ford can make money off of it then they might let it slide.
China & India as emerging markets want what the US has.
The BIG problem with this is that they are copying a country that has 5% of the global population and uses 25% of the worlds resources every year...for emerging, developing countries to copy that non-sustainable model is a scary thing!!

looks like an avalanche and a f150 had a child to me
I think it will make the market with a revised front fascia. I dont really see much F150 elsewhere.
They also have an almost exact replica of the Canyon/Colorado.

Actually this is what my stiffle or kill the growth in China. Autoblog said that Ford has gone to the Chinese Government and Demanded that They ban production and sales. It sounds like this may in fact happen. The problem isn't that the Chinese like to copy, it's that The Communist attitude has been the Government will take care of you THEY don't know how to innovate. In fact Russia may quit selling them aircraft after they agreed to buy 15-20 Mig 29's and they Coincidentally had a clone of their own in six months, they also cancelled after buying 5 MIG's.
The Chinese are funny.
Some of mankind's greatest inventions are Chinese: Paper, printing, the compass, gunpowder....etc...
At one point in history, they were possibly the most innovative people on earth.
Have they done anything original or innovative lately? No. Not that I can recall. It's all copies of Japanese or Western designs. Have you ever seen a Chinese BYD? You might not have but you know what it looks like because they directly copy Toyota designs. Maybe throw in a set of Honda taillights on it.
