How do you rate the Z-CS clear seal? Seems like a great idea just wipe it on and let it dry, no buffing, just walk away? It would make doing my full size van a lot easier.

I like it - it really is easy - once you master the "thin is better" technique. I like to let dry and then top it off with some Z-6 to even things out.

Z8 is really a nice follow up to ZCS and regular wash..

I only use one layer of Z2pro at a time. Usually I do it once every 6 months but this last year I didn't apply in the fall and the single layer application made it a full year like a champ. The key to getting the most out of Zaino products is to wash with their shampoo. It refreshes their products with every wash.

For me, Zaino is not bad but lacks in some area. Nice products but overpriced and lacks in depth.

What product(s) do you prefer over Zaino?

What's the difference between Z2 and Z5? Which will last longer?
I've been using CS over ZAIO and it lasts a very long time but I need to apply CS when there is no breeze blowing so that no dust gets on it before it dries. I need to do it outside in good daylight in order to see that I'm getting all areas covered. The lighting inside my garage is not good enough for that.
So, maybe I'll give Z2 or Z5 a try just because I can apply it outside most any time without concerns.
From what I've read on the Zaino website, I think Z2 may last a little longer but I'm not sure of that.

Z5 can fill in very light swirls but it's not magic. More serious swirls must be removed with a polish.

Z5 and Z2 are very close in performance. To me, both have a different look. Z5 looks more like a wax and Z2 has a higher shine and more gloss.

I use Z2 on light colored cars and Z5 on dark colors. But, frankly, both work very well. In terms of durability, they're about the same.

I've read through 12 pages of the Detail and Wax section and I've come up with no conclusion as to which wax is best. Perhaps this Zaino. Where can I get this product locally?

Contact Zaino directly and see if they have a local distributor. Beyond that, order via their website. Shipping is out of Kansas and will get to you in a couple days max.

I didn't see a wax per se on their website. I've got an 11 year old car that is dull and the paint looks lifeless. Based on what I have read, I assume I need to use a clay bar. Beyond that, it isn't clear what I should use. I was hoping to get something that would last a year.

Samuridog, I'm not sure Zaino is your best bet. I've used it on relatively new cars and they look great, but it's a showcar polish without abrasives (except ZAIO and ZPC), and I think you need something a bit harsher to grind out the surface imperfections.

I would wash with Dawn dishwashing liquid first to remove any traces of old wax. Claying might help, but it will only remove contaminants, not smooth out imperfections in the paint.

With a surface like that, there is a Meguiar's 3 step process, using a cleaner (contains abrasives), a polish (contains "oils" to replenish the paint), and finally, a carnuba wax. I've used it with good results, but not on neglected paint.
