It's not been a good year so far. A/C. Cat/O2 sensor. Now engine mount. Put it in gear, drive to reverse and vice versa, go over bumps in road, hit brakaes, hit gas.. Ka-THUNK. Passenger side engine mount is shot. Yay.

Is it hard to change? Engine mounts can often be changed by jacking the engine up enough to get the mount bolts out, then slipping a new mount in.

Be sure to block the engine after you jack it if you want to keep all your fingers.

I think my 1993 buick lesabre is having the same issues. If you are looking for ultimate durability think about poly bushings; I have one on my Volvo and it keeps the engine solidly in place. The only problem is more vibration in the cabin. I am thinking about going to look at those engine mounts today...

Fixed. Bought an "Anchor" (Made in china) from Advance for $50. The problem ended up not being the rubber mount itself. There are two allen type bolts that hold the rubber mount onto the metal bracket, they were gone. Luckily the new one came with some, and we put them on with thread lock. Big difference, less steering wheel vibration at stops. Also cleared the P0420 code, hasn't come back on yet. Gonna see what happens but so far so good.

Glad you got that sorted. I had a similar problem on my Honda. Sometimes they're easy to get to, sometimes not.
