I am so impressed with what LC20 has done that I had to share with everyone.

I got my first quart of it on Thurs. On friday morning before a short(9 miles round trip) drive I added 6 ozs of LC20 into my 4 quart engine. On that trip I didnt notice anythin yet as I suppose the LC hadnt mixed yet. However, later last night I went for another drive. It was 8 hours later and the temps were in the high teens for the most part. Usually my engine is VERY slow to respond at those temps. Its usually somewhat louder to. When I turned the car over, the engine seemed very quiet! When I started out I noticed the engine seemed very loose and responsive.
I remember people posting saying how smooth it made their engines, well it did it to mine to. I mean even my mom noticed it last night! The car just seemed more free to rev and man I can't get over how quiet. I literally frostbited my own face cause I had my head hangin out my window last night of a highway listening to the motor while I punched it up a steep hill!

I have never had this sort of positive response with any other oil additive! Are these all normal occurances with using LC20? This continues, I am adding some to this ill transmission I have in the same car, hoping it will make it that smooth until I replace it.

Thank you Lubecontrol!

Good to see you had good results with it. I caution against putting it in a transmission though. I use LC20 too, but I am kind of against it in a transmission. Mostly out of fear of transmission as a whole and how tempramental they can be. Even AutoRX, which I also trust kind of scares me in a transmission. There is a guy here that put it in 2 transmissions and they are both in for rebuilds now. He won't point exactly that AutoRX was the direct cause, but it seems a little too coincidental.

I typically see get that "just changed the oil" feeling when I add the 1oz at 1000Mi. It will actually cause the idle to jump a little as the engine adjusts to it (it appears to be very lubricious).

There are some very anti additive people on this board and they have good arguments for their points - a good oil doesn't really LC20. But there are a lot of things in life that don't need improving, but can still be improved. If that makes sense.

Anyone want to chime in on this one? Not just additive naysayers - but specifically about the transmission?

After driving it about 20 miles today I noticed that the loud lifter tapping I had had dramatically quieted down, its now a duller ticking sound. Yeah I agree in a way about the transmission, with how slick it seems I worry a bit about slipping in the shifts.

But woah boy does it seem to make this old engine happy. grand total of 50-75 miles on it since I added the LC20 and its purring smoothly. Again I noticed after sitting all night that the engine seemed to be responsive and loose right from cranking.

Very pleased so far with my purchase, can't wait to try out the FP60 I also ordered.

I've used ARX in a couple ATXs so far, and it helped them both.

If the box is already a basket case, it's not necessarily fair to blame a cleanser for exposing the obvious. No cleaner will remedy burned up clutch packs and cracked seals.

LC is an excellent product (I use it). But I agree that it is not always necessary to add it to some oils and in some applications.

I started using both LC20 and FP60 last Jan in five different cars. I use the recommended dose. I also put LC20 in four of the transmissions, fifth one is a sealed unit. So far all vehicles are running like they are brand new. All five are city driven and short trips.

I've been using Lube Control and Fuel Power for several years now, even once asked Odis specifically about using LC in automatic transmissions. His recommended ATx dosage: 3 ounces LC. That's in Mom's Mercury Grand Marquis right now.

I can't see how arx would hurt a transmission. The Lubegard products have synth esters in them and everyone swears by them

I give a testimonial to LC also, smeared it on my crippled legs this morning, this afternoon I threw away the crutches and could run again....first time in 30 years...hallaluyah

seriously, the stuff???, whatever it is works....have been using for several years now combined with FP so the results are tied together.....
will continue to buy as long as they will sell retail

i buy/use no other additives except VSOT or one of the other AW EP adds...used to be suckered in by the Andy Granetelli, Mario Andretii adds...the STP Super Tacky Poop...the TFE oil pump and filter plugger...the metallic bonding super magnetic chili oils that made your engine hotter....bought all that feces

has made the most noticible difference in the wife's 2 HMC products...makes the 4 banger far quieter and powerful

use one of the Lubeguard or Smart Blend ester products in your auto transmission...safer and they are effective...would not drive without them myself....both in towing and Honda apps

First post to BITOG, although I have been reading for quite a while.

I have been using FP60 for a few months now in 3 cars, mostly based on the reading I did on this forum. FP60 has definitely made all 3 engines noticeably smoother idling (one gas, one diesel, one rotary).

I was so impressed, that I have ordered LC20 as well. I had been using BG MOA in my engines. But, while I do like MOA and think it also a good additive, decided to try LC20 due to the FP60 results and it is more cost effective if it provides the same or better results. We'll see.
