I put HIDs in my projector headlights and fogs a few months ago and the driver side headlight has started to "wobble" or "shake". it's very weird!! It doesn't do it all the time, i would say 50% of the time. Also, it's very inconsistent when it does it. Sometimes at startup, then goes away. Or, it will start wobbling while i'm driving. I can't describe it any better, but if you go to youtube and search it there are a few posts with wobbling HIDs.

anyone else experience this? is it the bulb or maybe the ballast? I've checked the bulb and it's secure in the housing.

I would check the following. The headlight housing and see if it is secure and around the front passenger lower area-bumper,fender,wheelwell,etc. for any loose or damaged parts leading to the headlight area. I would also check suspension components-front strut area. Then I would also see if the engine mount in passenger area needed replacing also.

This is common with low quality chinese ballasts. They have little or no QC. Check the grounds first. If it continues, roll the dice with another low quality ballast or switch to a high end aftermarket brand. Another option is to go OEM (Denso, Hella, Matsushita etc.).

My ballasts are BMW OEM (Bosch).. i don't think you can get much better than that.

It ended up being the light bulb. I switched ballasts and still had the same issue. I swapped bulbs with some new ones and the problem was fixed.
