My wife has a 2013 Toyota Avalon Limited that we are turning in off of Lease. It currently has winter tires in size 225/45/18. We are looking at purchasing a 2019 Toyota Camry XLE which has 235/45/18 tires. My question is can I put these tires off my Avalon onto the new Camry? Are they compatible?

There is only a 1% difference in the circumference of the tires, which you would never notice in normal use. As long as the rims (assuming you are keeping them) are compatible you should be fine.

225 vs 235 isn't much of a wider tire, but you have to check yourself to see if the clearances are still OK

should be fine about 1.2% difference which is minimal.
Also tires are 10mm less width not 10mm wider.

For seasonal winter tires no issues.

I wouldnt buy that size just because there is no reason to, but since you already have them.. I would run them.

For a snow tire: the thinner, the better!

That's going down in load carrying capacity - the wrong direction. You may find that some tire shops won't mount them for you because of this.

Only possible if they're hellbent on selling you new tires. The Camry probably weighs less than your current Avalon; there's not an actual load capacity issue. Switch'em if they're still in good shape.

The offset is what you want to confirm assuming the winters are on dedicated steels.

They are not on dedicated rims. It was only a three year lease so I just had them put them on and off the factory wheels each year.
