I took my car to get oil sprayed, and there's some over spray on the windows. The rear window is the worst. I've cleaned the rear window twice, but still get some streaking. What can I use to clean the oil, that won't leave a film on the window?

Where in Ohio did you get it done? Since I want to have my car oiled.

Maybe some rubbing alcohol will take care of it.

How are you cleaning the window? I assume you're using glass cleaner.

If you have been using a paper towel use cotton cloth rag to to do your wiping. Like an old tshirt or like in all the cleaning infommercials a clean terry cloth towel.

It will pick up residue a lot better than paper.

Richard's Garage in Akron. Great mechanic also.

Stoner Invisible Glass and paper towels. I'll try an old t-shirt.

Eventually. I want the oil to soak in for a week or two before I wash it. I just want to clean the glass now.

Window fluid is usually just alcohol (methanol)

Dawn detergent with a magic eraser and some Viva paper towels should do the trick.

A few more cleaning with the window cleaner and a rag seems to have worked. Thanks for the help.

I had dew on the window this AM. It's not clean. I'm going to have to use Dawn when I wash it this weekend.
