Will STP S2870A work on 95 saturn sc2??

I don't think I'd use it. Bypass is 22 PSI, where the bypass on the stock filter is 12 PSI. I use the FL-400S on my Saturn, which is slightly longer than stock, but otherwise has the same specs.

Wixfilters.com is showing this as a 30 PSI bypass and only for euro cars.

That said I've found "Champ" 2870s on saturns I've dragged home. Most likely from a quick lube.
 
Since they make the Mobil 1 and RP filters I would say it's as well working as Frams bottom offering. The no oil must mean the short way to say don't throw your used oil in the storm sewer, river, or the trash.
 
Personally, I'd use it on my Saturn. I don't think any harm would come from it and as you said, it's just a 'tinkerer'.
