She saw an 07 at a used dealer. It has 190k on it. They seem to have good reviews. Any one have anything to add? It would replace her Tahoe with 180k on it that's falling apart around us.

12 model years old with 190K on it, no thank you. I'm sure some people think it's a Toyota, it still has 8 of it's 9 lives left on it. They quit making them and the resell is not on the buyers side.

Toyota resale value is extremely high. The FJ's are especially high. The 4.0 is a great engine that will run a long time.

I'm curious, how much was the 07 with 190k going for?

10 year old fj's here with 150 to 200 thousand miles are priced at 12 to 20 k. They also require premium fuel. I've always liked them, but not that much.

Has she driven one? The blind spots are really bad and dangerous. My wife wanted one too, until she test drove it, problem solved. And with 190K miles, Toyota or not I'd pass.

About as good as it gets.

My dad has an 07' FJ Cruiser with 130k miles. It has been to [censored] and back, has done some serious 4-wheeling. It is unstoppable off-road.

His is the 6 speed manual, which is known for the throw out bearing getting noisy. He had it replaced under warranty at 60k and it's been whining again lately. Could probably use a clutch so there might be an upgraded throw out bearing by now.

It also had the alternator replaced at 100k miles.

It has the original gear oils in the diffs, transmission, and transfer case. Original coolant and spark plugs. Just replaced the original belt for the heck of it.

I think it has the original brakes too.

We just test drove it. She liked it. The seats are much better than her tahoe. It's blind spots are nothing like the tahoe that you can't see out of.

It's a 4x4 too...we need that. I found a few things I don't like. RR corner has been tapped and straightened out. Has some bubbling paint on the rear hatch.

Ac low side port is missing its cap. It had been sitting and the battery was flat. The engine sounded good,no rattles when it started. Trans shifts good. 4x4 works.

Asking $14k.

It's amazing a vehicle that old with that many miles can go for $14k. Says a lot about Toyota reliability.

Take a good hard look at the fenders under the hood. They are known to rip/tear. A google search will give you some details.

They're very similar, mechanically, to 4Runners and Tacomas of the same vintage, which is a good thing.

I sat in one and that was enough for me. I like to be able to see out of my vehicle. It was as bad as a Camaro.

When you go to sell it someday, people will take it off your hands at a premium..just the way it works with Toyotas.
