Why so many fiery crashes?

I think its just the massive news overload.

I cant believe that fiery crashes are actually rising.

A deer farts causing a car wreck and all of a sudden its on the front page of some app or website.

Nonsense, gasoline ignites much easier than ethanol, specially in winter...

I'm not sure that it's just news overload or sensationalism. I drive around San Diego County quite a bit, and listen to the traffic reports and news on the radio. I have no statistics, but it certainly seems like the number of crashes resulting in fires is going up.

If you were on this coast and up this north, I'd say it was because the news people were bored, what with no winter weather to whip people up into a fury over.
