Why no HDEO offered in 5 qt/lt Packaging?

What's the story with all the HDEO's being offered in 1 gal containers, while most of the other "car" oils are offered in 5 liter? I've got 3 different engines that I'll be using a HDEO in, and their re-fill capacities are 10 qt, 5 qt, and 2.5 qt. See my point????

Motorcraft HD 15w40 comes in 5 quart jugs.

My guess would be because most HDEO users are diesel engine applications that measure their capacities in gallons rather than quarts.

Most are sold down here in 5 litres.

Our gallon was 4.54 litres, so they rounded up I guess

I reckon that's an Imperial gallon. A US gallon is 3.78 liters. No wonder most folks thought the metric system a good idea. Too bad it didn't "take" here.

I like our system. Kids (and adults) have to learn fractions in order to use it.
