Why doesn't ND oil have aw additives?

I worked for a school district and when we serviced the air compressors that operate the pneumatic controls for the unit ventilators we used Non-Detergent oil. In a compressor you don't want the detergent because of foaming also compressors don't suffer the effects of a combustion engine.

As for the anti wear additives that I can't speak for.

where did you read that Non-Detergent oil doesn't have anti wear additives? almost every Non-Detergent oil I found states this,

provide good wear protection and resistance to oxidation, rust and foaming.
Premium wear protection
Superior oxidation resistance
Excellent rust and corrosion protection
Great foam control

From looking at the specs. Its usually just basically oil and nothing else.
