I came here a few times before I registered, but I didn't really lurk much. I got started on the path by finding that Fram filters are not so good, then I saw Bob's oil pressure drop filter test, and finally I needed to know about ZDDP. I'm going to run a flat tappet cam in a big block Chevy, and I was surfing for an explaination of why people seem to think that you can't keep lobes on a flat tappet cam in a BBC even with the spring pressure I'm running in my small block. It just didn't make sense that ZL1 and L88 replacement cams require spring pressures that these guys practically guaranteed would wipe out lobes. I can't remember exactly how I found out about ZDDP content being reduced, but I ended up here. Now I'm hooked.
I was looking for cheap alternative oil filters for my riding mower. Wandered over here, after some dimly remembered search, and I ain't left yet. I love this place!
