Anyone who is filtering content is in essence censoring material.
Right, they're censoring, but they're not violating anyone's rights or violating the first amendment. Their system, their rules. There's actually one of those sign ups that you agree to when you first fire up their wifi. I suppose it's all disclosed there if anyone actually bothered to read it before agreeing to it.
It's the same thing on this board, some religion/politics get deleted/locked earlier than others.
^^ Thank You ^^
Wendys is deciding what information can be carried over their internet connection to their customers.
I believe zerosix (and the OP) use of the word "censorship" is being used in the wrong spirit of the word, though factually correct.
NORMALLY when we speak of censorship we are talking about government censorship, blocking the flow of information or thoughts. Not individuals, companies and non government entities.
Same as a magazine or Walmart store deciding what magazines or newspapers will be carried or what sports programming will be carried in the local bar and grill or what library carries what books or magazines.
