Here's my situation:
Recently moved and park my car outside. I live in Central Montana, where of course the temps. in the next couple months will get well below 0.
I am currently running M1 5w30, and have about 5500 miles on this change. Going to change at 7500 which will be in about a month.
I am looking at putting in one of the following for my next OCI (all M1):
Keep with 5w30
0W-20
0W-30
Or 5w30 EP

What say you BITOG'ers?

I drive very short trips (about 5-10 minutes) each day for work and then 2-3 times a month an out of town drive about 550 miles round trip.

It would help if you told us what car/engine this is regarding. You might consider putting that info in your sig so that you don't have to type it every single time...

Time to take a look at the manual. 0w30 would be my call but by all means if your manual states you can use a 5w20, go ahead and use the 0w20. I doubt it though. M1 0w30 and call it a day.

Yeah,GM doesnt seem to be into 20 weight oils yet.

You could use the Mobil-1 0w30 year round and the truck would love it.

I've run 0w30 M1 in several GM V-6 vehicles and they all run great on that oil.
