Which oversize filters?

[FL-400S]

For a Toyota 3.4L Im using a MC FL-400s instead of a 3614.

For a 4.6L crown vic, is an FL-1A the bigger version of the FL-820S?

And what is the bigger version of the chevy 3.1L filter? The delco number is PF47, not sure what the fram number is. I ran a bigger one before, but forgot the number.

And whats the best cartridge filter for a 2.2L ecotec? Ive just been running the Supertech, they all look the same out of the box anyway.

FL-1A is NOT an oversize filter for the FL-820

I belive you are stuck with the FL-820S as I have never seen an oversize for that one. The oversize for the GM is PH3980 or equivalent. Ecotec filter not sure, but some have liked the Fram, actually. If they all look the same, buy on price/availability.

The bigger filter for the chevy/PF-47 is the PF-52 or PH 3980 .

Good point. Plus the Vic takes an even 5 qts with stock filter.

The 3.1L Malibu takes 4.5 with stock filter...would be great to squeeze an even 5 with the 3980. Tundra takes an even 6. Cavalier takes 4.5 by the book, but I think 5 is no problem.
