Which 5W30 dinos (excluding Havoline and Chevron) most frequently stay in grade for 3000 miles with about 40% to 50% short trup driving?

That's kinda what getting the API "Starburst" was all about with SL and before. SM is making it more difficult to get.

I agree GTX seems to maintain viscosity better than most.

I like Pennzoil a lot, but it THINS. No question about it, look at all the alayisis reports. Pennzoil, Havoline and Chevron all thin pretty good. Do I still use them, YES!

FWIW, back in the SL days GTX 10w30 had a noack volatility of 8.93, which is about the same as M1 10w30. Not too bad for a dino. Didn't do very well in the TFOUT test though, so I don't try to run it too long. Pennzoil and yes, even Valvoline have much better TFOUT #'s.
