Where is everyone buying PP so cheap?

(Yes, still OT...)

Well I live in "smallsville, usa". And for all the talk about Morristown and all these other places being the best places to live and such, that's fine. I'm sure they're great places for a lot of reasons.

But I live in a small town of about 1200 people, about 20 minutes from Evansville, IN. I could literally leave my garage door open and my doors unlocked 24/7, 365 days a year and wouldn't even miss so much as a screwdriver off my work bench. Gas is $2.08, housing is probably 1/3 to 1/4 of what it is up east (say $175-250K for a *brand new*, all brick, 2000 sq ft home with full basement on a nice lot in a nice subdivision), my kids can walk three blocks to and from school, quickie mart, playground, whatever, and never have to worry about anything. Public schools are pretty good to excellent (ours is the latter), and they are SAFE! Private/parochial schools are numerous, relatively inexpensive, and also excellent. I make pretty good change, I live 1.5 hours from St. Louis, 3 hours from Nashville, 3 hours from Indy, and 1.5 hours from Louisville. So if I need any "big city stuff", I can get there in quick order. But 99% of the time, I can get/have anything I care for in my little town or in the Evansville area (about 250K people all together), and I'm perfectly content. Crime is almost non-existent (though it does happen). A traffic jam is usually only a backup behind a tractor, and you can still go shoot the #@$%! at the local diner. Maybe I missing out on all that big city "culture", but that's okay...I'll take my Midwest culture, thank you.

Sorry...just continuing the OT rants...and not trying to put down where anyone else lives. It's all good, and whatever makes you happy, and whatever you're used to, that's cool with me. Just had to put in a good word for us little guys in flyover country.
